Piiman is a very pleasant little lunch spot right beside Shinjuku
Gyoen park. I discovered this place several years back and have taken many people
there and they all seem to agree that it has a nice feel to it.
The atmosphere at Piiman is bright and relaxing. It is right beside one of the gates of the park and gets lots of sunshine. They play classical music and have lots of plastic (I think) fruits and vegetables hanging all over the walls.

The food is basically divided into curries and
spaghettis, both of which are quite nice. Most of the
dishes are vegetarian, but there are some seafood dishes and some which contain
a little meat. They also have all natural desserts such as carrot cake and other
sweets which are worth a try.
More impressive than the food, however, is the huge list of juices they serve. They have this gnarly juicer in the back and grind up the fruits and vegetables right there after you order the juice. The juice menu is a poster size sheet with hundreds of possible combinations and what physical ailment that juice is supposed to be useful in treating.

The lunch dishes are all in the range of 800 to 1000 yen. The
juices, however, can get a little pricey, with the jumbo mug going for 1100
yen. If you are going to Shinjuku Gyoen and are looking for a nice place to
have lunch, Piiman is Raydude's pick of the day.
