Khazana is, in my opinion, the best Indian restaurant in Tokyo.
It's located right in the heart of Shinjuku, on Shinjuku Dori near the intersection
of Meiji Dori, across from the Kinokuniya building.
The lunch buffett is awesome. They have 4 curries, rice, nan
and salad bar, all you can eat for just under 1000 yen. The best thing about
Khazana, however, is the people who work there. They are really friendly and
after you've gone there a time or two, they remember you and come over and talk
to you. This is rather unusual in Japan, but standard operating procedure at
Khazana. They do, for some reason, move the staff around quite a lot so you
have to get to know new people quite often, but that's cool too.
Dinner is also good at Khazana, but they close a bit early, around
9 p.m. so you can't hang out there really late. Lunch is the time this place
really shines.
So give it a try, and here's a map to help.
