Bullets calls itself an "ambient space" and the place is very
ambient and the customers, in general, rather spacy. To be totally honest, I
tend to avoid the Roppongi and Nishi Azabu areas as they usually make me want
to hurl. Bullets, however, is an exception. It is located in Nishi Azabu, but
the people who work there and the crowd it draws are pretty cool, not too much
of the posturing Roppongi wankers. It's hard to get more chilled than Bullets,
with matresses all over the floor and people pretty much kicking back.

Bullets is often the site of some really cool ambient events,
including Dakini night organized by Makyo (pictured here getting a strawberry
cake on his birthday)
Last year, Bullets also played host to Tropic of Chill, the only gig played by the ambient dub master 23 degrees from Maui. There are talks in the works to get him back, so keep checking this site for any further info. You don't want to miss his show if he does decide to do Tokyo again.
If all this is not enough to convince you to check it out, remember that Bullets is also the most dog-friendly club in Tokyo, so bring Cosmo and check it out.

The club is easy to find, just walk away from Roppongi (always a good idea in my mind) towards Nishi Azabu and turn right past the gas station and then take the next left.
Here is a map, borrowed (stolen, whatever. . .) from the Bullets
Official Web Site.
